Good Evening Ladies and Gentlemen,
Revered Guests of the evening, dignitaries, invitees, members of Press and Electronic media, esteemed parents, Respected Teachers and my loving students. At the outset, on behalf of Rotary Public School, I extend my warm welcome to you all to this colourful evening of the 44th Annual Day Celebration ‘The Empyrean-2018’.
I am privileged to present before you the Annual Report of the school for the Academic session 2018-19.
Rotary Public School, Angul has become a synonym to success within its 44 years of journey. I am honored to share with you some of the spectacular events and achievements of the school during the session.
The school has been producing spectacular results in both AISS & AISSC Examinations over the years. During the last academic session 88 students appeared AISS Examination, 2018 wherein Smruti Mahalik topped the school securing 95.2% along with more than 7 students secured more than 90% and above and 20 students more than 80%. Similarly out of 40 students, Jyoti Ranjan Rout and Adarsh Agarwal topped the school in Science and Commerce in AISSC examination, 2018. During the current academic session 121 students are going to appear AISSE & 27 students for AISSCE-2019. I wish them all good luck.
Keeping pace with the modern technology the school imparts education through digital teaching system. Learn to learn has become the basic principle of school academics. The school organizes seminars and Orientation programmes for teachers to sharpen them time to time.
The School organized the Capacity Building Programme conducted by Center of Excellence, CBSE, Bhubaneswar in the month of July, organized the Sahodaya Schools Complex Sr. & Jr. English Debate Competition in the month of September and a Teachers’ Orientation Programme in the month of November 2018.
Creating awareness has become an integral part of school activities. The school organizes AIDS awareness rally, Polio awareness rally, Consumer awareness programme and observes different occasions of National importance like Republic Day, Independence Day, Teachers’ Day, Children’s Day, Gandhi & Sahastri Jayanti, Netaji Jayanti, International Yoga Day, International Day of Girl Children, Pollution control Day, National disaster preparedness Day, National Unity Day and Vanamahotsav week, Vigilance Awareness Week and Road Safety week in the school premises.
Besides this many students have brought laurels to the institution through their achievements in different District, State and National level competitions. The school acknowledges the contribution of Lopamudra Sahu, Ridhi Agarwal, Ankita Tripathy, Ayushman Sahu, Ankita Mohapatra, Sambit Swarup Pati, Sohan Raj Mohanty, Kirtty Karina Sahu, Chiranjib Dwivedy and Ramakant Gupta
for their excellence in different state and national level competitions. Besides this, a good number of students added glory to our school winning prizes at District Level Inter School Competitions throughout the session. Our sincere gratitude to the organizing groups including District Administration for giving platforms to our children to flourish.
More than 300 prize winners of different Intra school competitions have been awarded on the occasion of children’s Day celebration and Annual Sports Day and some are to receive the prizes this evening. We have achieved a lot, still a lot more is yet to be achieved.
Last but not the least I express my sincere gratitude to the teachers for their tireless effort in shaping the career of the children and the parents and well wishers for their constant help and co-operation for the growth of this institution I am no less grateful to the Hon’ble members of School Managing Committee and Rotary Club of Angul for their support and guidance.
I bow before the Almighty for anything and everything that goes well and pray for the blessings to continue.
